First time Sulcata Tortoise Dad living in Cape Cod. Ozzy is approximately 2-4 years old. I bought him at a reptile convention in September 2023. I’m here to hopefully find other people who own Sulcata Tortoises in the Northern United States and get some tips and tricks to giving Ozzy the best life possible in a natural environment that can be extremely unforgiving for this species.
Im pretty new and have been researching endlessly for months, even prior to buying him, in order to do the best I can.
Ozzy has gotten a check up at the vet already. He has some pretty severe pyramiding and looks to be mildly malnourished. My goal is to end the cycle of malnourishment the breeder obviously put him in.
