As I've been told on here once their older they are smart enough to go in and out and back to the warm when they get cold

Hi I have a sully I'm down in suffolk. Mines a year old and I have him in a closed chamber enclosure around 8' by 5' ambient around 80 basking at 105 and warm end 90. I'm going ot be building a shed for him I'm the next month or two from info I got on here!

Yeah the money is in setting it up right the better I do it first the better it'll be at holding heat

Hi there thanks for the reply. I'm in suffolk about an hour north of London so we don't get the torrential rain or storms, but of course it does get down to 0 degrees C sometimes. I'd let the tortoise have the run on garden when I'm there and his own area when I'm not (rarely).

Would you say a heated hide is enough inside a large enclosure or the entire enclosure heated?

I have browsed other areas on the Internet and people aren't too happy when I say I'm from the UK! And you say costly but if it's a large but low enclosure and insulated correctly hopefully will work out cheaper. But I'm more than happy to pay for the right enclosure and heat otherwise I would...
