I have a 10 year old red foot tortoise which we think is a girl. In the summer when its warm she spends her days roaming the flower beds in garden. But in winter she is indoors. Her cage has an open front, a heat lamp in 1 area, a shelter and a UV bulb. She is able to come and go as she pleases...
