i have a greek tortoise myself and a greek tortoise is also known as a spur thigh tortoise. you are 100% correct.

one tip to help her shell is to take an old toothbrush, and just scrub her shell lightly with no soap with the toothbrush. It will get off excess dirt and other stuff. They do have full feeling in their shells so try not to do it hard. :)
