    Mr. T has pneumonia!

He is outside. I was bringing him in at night. But he has been outside for several days now. We are in central CA so it is very warm. He has a house to go into whenever he wants to. He has sun, shade, grass, water, house, and food. Thank you for the info.

    Mr. T has pneumonia!

Mr T had bloodwork done on Tuesday. Dr called today. His white blood cell count is much much lower but still a bit over the normal 10. We will do another round of ceftazidime. Dr said he’s a real fighter. He and Trudy were not outside in the winter. They both were in separate iboxes with carpet...

    Mr. T has pneumonia!

He is a very mature CDT. When getting him up after brumation I noticed a little drainage from his nose. After a day or two it was much worse and kinda yellow. He wasn’t eating as much a normal for him. Vet took tests a sent them off. Was a week before results came back! Dr is giving him 10...

    Brumation

In the 90s! I got Mr T and Trudy out of their brumation boxes. Gave them each a good soak, some romaine and they were eating Bermuda grass. Mr T is still coming out of his house to sun and eat. Trudy ate good and went into her hole she dug last year and, I guess, went back to sleep. It’s way too...

    Brumation

Mr. T and Trudy are still in their brumation boxes. It is going to be in the 80s possibly in a week. I will get them out then. I am anxious to see and interact with them. I will be putting fences up this week to keep them separated but still have nice areas to roam and eat the Bermuda between as...

    Brumation

Thank you, Tom. I was thinking it would be better to wait, as you suggested. The forecast looks like it will stay in the 70s out as far as it goes but it’s very hard to believe this time of year. I will wait. i know what you mean. It’s kinda like whew, no feeding when they go into brumation but...

    Brumation

Here in central California it has gotten nice and warm, mid 70s, 50s at night. Should I get our two DT out of their boxes to soak and wake up?

    Babies and an egg

Final update. The egg was not viable. It cracked from the gases inside. ☹️ I now will figure out where to put fences up in my backyard to keep Mr. T and Trudy apart, while still giving them room to roam and eat some grass.

Just an update of no change in the egg. It’s still in the incubator.

    Babies and an egg

I wrote two days ago that the babies were all dead. The egg is still in the incubator. As of yesterday, there was still no movement from the baby in the egg.

Thanks, Tom. We just have to wait and see. This is so stressful.
