Have been finding them outside of the enclosure, humidity in the house isn't too high and usually about 72-74 degrees. Wasn't expecting them to survive outside the enclosure. Have been finding them in our bed even.

Got substrate from a local hardware store a couple of weeks ago, have never had a problem with mites or wood flies before. Found several of these scurrying around in the substrate, anyone got a good idea what they are based on the fairly terrible picture quality I have to offer?
Just to the bottom the plastron when standing. It seemed that he was washing his face with his front legs, which I've seen him do a number of times, this time he pulled his head back up and squirted out the water, so I'd say accidental inhalation seems to be a likely cause.
I have a young sulcata hatchling (just over a month old) that I was soaking, it took a gulp of water and immediately squirted it back out from his mouth- almost in a short stream. I have raised a few of these guys but have never seen this. Not sure if this means he could have an obstruction, or...
This happened with one of my younger sulcatas back in the late 90's- I panicked at first as well. As long as the bone underneath was not damaged it should grow back just fine.
