    infra-red heating light is on 24 / 7 on a thermostat it's 40 watts and gets a nice basking temperature and I have a 4 ft uvb on 12 hour cycle , what should I be using instead of the infra-red ?

    Thanks ,yes I built it out of a solid beech kitchen worktop and designed it myself for me a open table is impossible to get the perfect ambient temperature with my home heating turning of when not needed

    . Its 5 feet by 3,I guess it is a bit small but it is only for the winter, The rest of the year he is in a greenhouse with outside run

    living in the UK with cold winter's my house is on the cold side, So I was struggling to get a precise temperature in my table so I came up with this , I can leave doors open if needed, could be useful for other people in colder climates to see
