    No - our Uncle has taken the tortoise to the vet for this reason, as this is what he believed he needed, however was told that it was a deformity and therefore a beak trim would not be possible. Thanks for the input all the same.

    Thanks for your advice. Like we said in the post, this is our Uncle's Tortoise, so we are just following on with what he gave us. Seems to have worked so far, he eats and drinks well, roams around his setting and the beech chips state they are good for a tortoise environment - so I guess this...
