An addendum to my earlier reply, Zovick: Rex has now been sitting in his cooler hide/den for the past 6 hours, since he walked out of his heated bedroom this morning. I didn't take his temp then, but I did just now: top of shell is 83 degrees, bottom is 80. The hide is approx 72 degrees...

I think you're right, only blue. They're easy to pull on and off, provide lots of grip making it easier to lift a moving, slick 80lb shell AND provide tactile handling. Plus the fabric, though polyester, does provide some absorption so I can wipe my brow of sweat during my "workout" with Rex!

I have never had a pair last that long...I usually go thru a pair in a few weeks. I use them for weeding, too.

We love the summer here in Bucks County, PA because Rex and I can take daily walks around the property! We average 2.5 miles per day. (Please note: Rex spends all day in his large outdoor paddock and walks in there throughout the day, in addition to our daily walks around the property.) Because...

Not sure our Sulcata is normal! We purchased him in February 2018. We think he was a few months old...he fit in our hand then. Not so today...at 4+ years old, Rex is 26" measured along his plastron and weighs 70 lbs(31,752 grams). Normal or extraterrestrial lol!
