I got one of my redfoot tortoises from Petco. It was getting too big for their enclosure so they put it on sale 50% off. It behaves no different than the one I got from a breeder.

I live in Fresno do I know how hot it gets outside. I have a side of my house that gets alot of shade and made an enclosure with an old solid oak bookcase. It has a very good hide they escape the heat. I also soak my redfoots a couple times a week for at least 15 min.
