I have her in the pond now. It definitely looks like some sort of prolapse. Sadly their is no exotic vet open near me right now. I will be watching her very closely and hopefully get her to a vet as soon as possible.

Thanks so much for the replies everyone. If your reading this and have an opinion on the gender I would love to hear it. I will keep paying very close attention to the turtles. The good news is Yertle is only 6 in and the large female (12 in) is very gentle and not showing any aggression...
