That was my thinking as well; let the tortoise roam on warmer winter days but keeping the house heated so she can come and go at will. Then locking the door in the evening.
Yes, that's what I am wondering about. We have warmish days but the nights get pretty cool. Keeping her warm at night, will she go out during the day and eat on those warmer winter days?
