My African Sulcata is showing signs of RI. I cannot get her into the vet until Thursday as there are few exotics in my area. What should I do until then?
I have upped temps and blocked off the cooler dark side of her enclosure. Do I continue soaks??
I think it’s getting picked up with the food. I place the food on a large piece of tile but she stomps and drags it everywhere.
I need more substrate so just debating what to get
Hi Tom. I’ve been using the fine grade Orchid Bark you recommended but I notice she’s been eating it because she’s been pooping it. I am nervous it would become impacted? I really would like to avoid top soil because it’s messy.
My issue is I don’t have enough on her hide for her to burrow. I have to order more but it’s 85.00 for four bags because of shipping. I’m going to order more next month.
I soak for 20 minutes. I’ll try longer usually she’s trying to climb out after 20 though. I start get the water to 93, I’ll...
Ok I will take hay out of her hide tonight and put coco coir in there, she can dig better in that. I leave thermostat set at 80 all the time, is that good?
No matter what I do, she always poops in her enclosure. She has not once pooped in her soak.
Thank you!! Yes I do not like coco coir. I put the orchid bark in her hide and a big bag of hay. She seems to like it. I may get more of the orchid bark for her hide if the hay doesn’t work. Shipping is a fortune though.
Do you just spot clean?
