Hey JP, thats sort of what I am afraid of. He has definitely been eating A LOT more than he was and defecating normally. He hasn't lost any weight, but he still hasn't gained any. It just sucks when you spent so much money and time and they fail to thrive. It would be nice to see the reward for...

Low temp during the night was at 81, humidity at 60, and hes been eating the dandelion greens all morning non-stop. Hes never actually eaten this long in one sitting so fingers crossed! Thanks a ton for all the advise, I will be sure to update periodically and stick around. Its funny how you can...

I found fresh dandelion at whole foods, but I had to drive 20 minutes to get it, also picked up fresh alfalfa. I put an extra heat pad on the ceiling so hopefully I can keep night time temps above 80. If these changes don't work, I will rethink the enclosure and maybe build another one.

That does help, Tom. I will remove the radiant heat panel and add a CHE as the 40 watt panel is typically at full force at night and simply not enough power. I really didn't want to do the basking area this way but it's difficult not to overheat a small enclosure without removing this bulb for...

I just realized you might not have realized, the enclosure in the first pic is not the same one. I don't use it anymore because it had an open top and didn't retain any humidity. The later pics are a different, fully enclosed one.

Hi Yvonne, thanks for the response. The enclosure is a 2 ft cube, with an 'outdoor' basking area but the main enclosure is a sealed enclosure other than a small hall to the outside so it maintains high humidity. The 5.0 is a tube, not a spiral, and is 2 feet from the enclosure floor so I don't...

Hey Guys, I've been browsing from a distance for some time now, and I've only recently branched off into tortoises from other reptiles. I opted for a blonde leopard hatchling (I realize that their "blondeness" may not necessarily be genetic) exactly one month ago. My issue is he was 28 grams...
