Hi, I have tow young Hermann tortoises the one I am concerned about is tfour and a half yrs old I have called it Alfonso (not knowing its sex) We are just going into summer so they have been out of hibernation for just over a month I have them out side they have a house which they go into most nights.Alfonso has gone off his food these past three days I only feed the natural food, clover honey suckle dandy lines some flower petals they have their own enclosure, occasionally a little bit of carrot, lettuce, apple . I noticed a couple of days age he had an unusual motion white fluid with a lot of liquid. He is retracting into his shell but seems to be rubbing his left eye with his leg, We have had quite cold nights well down to 7 deg.I can not see that would affect him as Dominique ( the other younger Tortoise) is fine. There are not a lot of Tortoises in N Z so our vets are a little out of touch with these wonderful animals , can some body give me some advice what could be wrong with him
