Ok, thanks everyone. I currently use the Powersun, and my tortoise actually basked more when I had the exo terra solar glo. She hardly basks under the powersun, and actually this concerns me quite a bit. I wanted to try the TRex, but I guess I will go for something else.

Hi everyone It is almost that time to replace my MVB, and I am wanting to try the TRex active MVB. Does anybody know of a source for these? Are they even available? I have been very busy, and feel totally "out of the loop" as far as products go. Thanks;)

I had the same problem. It was frustrating to find so many sites that sell tortoises, but none that would ship to me! There is a website -but I have to find it somewhere-that has tortoises for sale AT TIMES. If you post on reptiles canada, someone there will be able to help. I will try and find...

You can also keep the substrate damp for humidity. I use coconut coir, and keep it damp. When it dries out I pour water over it, and mix it up. Glad to hear you are going with a greek!

When my tortoise is looking for food because "heaven forbid" I haven't fed her yet, she is one active tort. After feeding, she is content to be lazy, until she gets hungry again, and then she starts motoring around.

That's too bad. I only a good experience with my solar glo. I ended up replacing my solar glo with a powersun because I wanted a "better" bulb, and my tort seemed to prefer the solar glo. I still have the power sun mind you because I think zoo med makes better products. My tort seems to disagree...
