I 100% agree with you, whenever i let my tortoise free roam i am always watching him, i let him outside whenever its warm as sunny and i have been doing this for a while now and everything is fine, the only reason why i said that is because people always tell me you are paranoid nothing is going...
not mean to start war but all torts get shell rot mister, maybe the vet would not be a good idea as its still to early to tell but even leopard tortoises get shell rot and a specific breeds does not mean a tortoise is immune to a specific bacteria or illness, but i guess some people have silly...
ok first,
how old is your little one approx;
secondly, did he eat fruits red in color or that might've stained his plastron a bit,
if not then this could be an early sign of shell rot go to the vet and see what they say
get back to me on that :)
oh ok, i am really impatient but thanks, is 6 months good, oh and also i get my plants from garden stores do i still have to transplant them and wait 6- 12 months
Hi i had a question on safe plants in my tortoises enclosure,
i want to get a real spider plant in my torts enclosure and also a Boston Fern, but i am concerned as they have been fertilized can i still put it in my torts enclosure or not?
I had the same problem with my tortoise, he only ate lettuce, but included more foods to his diet i excluded lettuce for a while and now when i offer lettuce he doesn’t want to eat it, so in conclusion dont feed spinach for a while your tort will not starve itself introduce new foods to him!
