    Russian tortoise and somewhere around 10 yrs old, maybe older as he’s from a pet store originally. Here’s a latest picture. It’s interesting because I have orchid bark now and thought it was too rough. Also have coconut coir underneath and it gets very dusty. It’s hard to keep it moist enough.

    I have a 72 quart compressed block of reptichip that I was planing on freezing to kill off anything hiding but I realize they’ll just go dormant till the substrate is warmed up. Baking it in the oven is not an option. To clarify by compressed I mean those blocks that need to be soaked in water...
