We don't actually let them roam in the entire house. There is a small room which we have allocated for them. It has an attached balcony so that they can go out and come back as they wish. They stay their almost the entire day. It has a place for their food and an imitated pond for them to drink...
I would again like yo thank everyone for you help, time and advice. I am sorry but I have another question.
For his enclosure, we added cocopeat and sand as his substrate and kept a bold of water (imitation of a pond) for him to drink water from. Aside from this, it is in the balcony so he get...
Thank you everyone here for your help. I think it was because of less sunlight, sudden weather change and maybe because he lost his actual hideout after 6 years that he didn't eat or anything. But he has started eating again, and is eating quite well.
I sincerely thank everyone here for there...
Okay I'll separate them immediately, as for the light I kept it on for 4 hours today, but he only went in light for about 1hr 30 mins something....he later went to the shady area to sleep.
No they are kept together. He follows her all along and they both dont eat food if one is not beside the other. Even if we keep them in separate enclosure, the female one still sleeps but the male one would move restlessly all over until he sees her again. This is the reason we didn't keep them...

Also, his shell grew up in this past month so he can't fit in his usual hiding spot...
He has been with me for 5 years now. This November he will complete 6 years. In the first year we prepared an enclosure for him with cocopeat, sand and dirt. For his hiding we kept a big coconut shell, he used to love it. Some time later we observed that he started to eat the sand and we were...
It's 34 degrees here and very humid. Also it's been raining a lot since past week and the sun isn't visible. So we give him uv light every 5 hours for 20 to 30 mins (told by his vet). Generally he eats twice a day and his intake is moderate. But since 2 days he hasn't been eating a thing and...
My tortoise has been with me for over 5 years now. We are a family of four and my tort recognizes everyone and love us too to the point he would just follow us until we take him and cuddle him. But 3 of us left for one month (we do so every year) and my father took care of him for this month...
