I'm a stay at home dad, with an amazing wife and two incredible kids.

I love just about any activity that gets me outside- hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, backpacking/camping.

My buddy gave me a sulcata tortoise as a present and I'm really excited and happy(I have dreamed of having one for years). While a sulcata would have been my first choice, if I had unlimited funds and space, I think I probably would have gone with a smaller breed, had I adopted one on my own. As it has turned out, my friend had the best intentions, and he rescued my new friend-for-life from a less than ideal situation. I'm a little intimidated, but I'm determined to give her the best care and a great life.
