Does anybody recommend a vet who can trim my tortoise peak even tho he hides a lot in his shell ? I’m in la i called around and everyone is basically telling me id have to sedate him just wondering if there’s any other options I have.

Ok sounds good I just got a ceramic bulb I’m going to b using at night well I used it last night n it was in the low 80’s so I was happy about that ! Also I will occasionally Open the lid like u suggested thank u so much !!! :)))

Thank you so much for always responding I feel so safe here ahah, yes, I currently do soak him for like 15 to 20 minutes, but I’ll do like 30 minutes now and yes, I try to keep the water from like 85 to 95°F. I read the links that you sent me the other day so that’s where I got all these numbers...

Such a great point! I did have a few holes and the domes will get sealed tomorrow they aren’t to exposed but I will definitely seal all !!

Hi tom thank you so much for the advice, I ordered the 10.0 as I had got the 5.0 by mistake, I made the light a lot closers so his basking spot is around 95-100 checked with heat gun, all though I’m having trouble getting the whole cage up to 85-90 as right now I can only get it up to 80-82f how...

Hi, I just got my baby Indian star literally yesterday, and I have him in a temporary enclosure that holds humidity pretty well ( plastic clear bin bout 20 gallons) I have a few ventilation holes in the container and the humidity is around 85-95% and the whole enclosure is prob around 75-80F...

Any body sell spider tortoises? I know there hard to come by just figured there’s a chance!
