I know but I just figured the humidity is different then from where I got him. The breeders didn't keep the outside like I do and idk if he kept their humidity as high as I try to keep it.
Herp lovin' rave Zombiie!!!
My one year anniversary of getting my first tortoise and he/she is dealing with florida's high humidity well and loves the heat. One of my favorite species for sure.
Mine doesn't get any lettuces since they are mostly water and he only gets greens once a week. Mine was very picky the first couple of months and didn't really take the grasses but when I mixed it with hibiscus and cactus he would eat it all and never gives me trouble now. Try that instead :)
I soak him every day and leave a water dish in there. His humidity is whatever florida's humidity is for the day and inside my house it is 70-80%. I keep him on moist cypress mulch with a hide of moss that is wet as well.
Hello... I was wondering where I can find cactus fruit for my leopard tortoise. I love in Florida and would prefer to buy the whole fruit and not just the seeds. Thanks (:
I have had mine since May and about a month later he started eating all his grasses instead of just his cactus and flowers. I also have grasses only days with him/her and when it is hungry enough he/she eats all of it.
