Hello, I’m a beginner tortoise keeper and can’t really offer you any advise. However, I’ve done a lot of reading and yes, they do eat their poop occasionally. I’ve read to keep your baby well hydrated during his hunger strikes and keep offering food. Just put out a food dish for mine hoping she’ll decide to eat today. She’s not liking her tube feedings!

Also, I’d double check on feeding cabbage and avacodo, toxic to tortoises? Search that in forums to be sure.

Your tortoises diet needs to change right away. Carrots are way too high in sugar for their bodies to properly process. The high sugar content can also cause parasites. Cabbage should never be fed as it has something in it that interferes with thyroid function and can cause liver and kidney damage.
