And that a mature redfoot (I have two) only needs to be fed 2 times a week. I find that building in a few 'rest days' works...

Yes it's usually seeds. My tortoise had the same, but it looked exactly like yellow insect eggs. Turned out they were dandelion seeds (very good for the torts) . So that's good to know. We need some kind of repository with pictures to determine all the different seeds they can ingest.
