I like the idea. Has anyone ever watched those tiny house videos. They usually claim to live off of solar power and collected rain water sometimes. Not sure if the the solar is enough to last like atom said but very interested in the idea.

Here is my opinion, If there is a study I think it would be beneficial for everyone to read. Otherwise it is one hobbist thoughts, opinions and experiences against anothers . That might be why people seem to argue both sides.

Hey guys. I was reading that a number of tortoise owners build small enclosures outdoors with a heat source inside the outdoor enclosure so that they can stay outside year around. If you have done this, how are you getting power to the heat source? Solar panel? Running a long extention cord...
