    Hi Guys My friend just got this turtle here in China. The guy told him (in Chinese) it was a Helmet turtle (direct translation from Chinese to English) I don't have much experience with muddies but I think it may be an Eastern Mud Turtle ??? What do you guys think ? @cdmay :)

    I actually think that when we are looking into substrates we should really be asking the animal and not the pets hop. Do some research and find what it's natural habitat is then try your best to emulate it. Grass, hay, soil, sand, peat.... All depends on your animal and its natural habitat .. Right?

    Romance lettuce.....! NONE! It have zero nutritional value! It's 95% water. As @Yvonne G pointed out RES are totally carnivores. They love chicken and duck even pork. They will eat fish both live or dead PLEASE THOUGH DO NOT GIVE THEM GOLDFISH! they will also eat crustations shrimp, clams...
