sounds good, Also, I have a huge wooden shed in my backyard, When my sulcata gets older should I attemp to turn it into a heated tortoise house? I heard people make those but idk if I have to since in california the weather doesn’t get too cold.

It prolly didn’t show up in the pics but i have a little temp dial on top of the half log (I moved it on top of the substrate for more accuracy). Also I setup a dog heater to help keep the enclosure warm. I also have a heat lamp switched on for him, it’s the ones that don’t give off any light.

perfect, thanks for the advice. right now All the substrate in the enclosure is damp... as temp’d get lower at night, do you think the cold damp substrate is a bad idea?

My hatchling is approximately 1 month old and i’m feeding him grass land tortoise pellets and weeds from my backyard. I soak him daily in warm water and let him sit outside for an hour.
