Hi I have a Hermans tortoise thats has been hibernating through the winter. she is currently in a box in my shed. I'm about concerned as the temperature has dropped (going to be -4) so not sure what i should do?

Hi Karen Yes he has brumated before and also did so with the previous owner. I have taken your advice and brumated him now, he seemed to want to do it so I think it is for the best. Thank you for the advice

well he is a Mediterranean species so they should brumate. I was told you shouldn't do it as it's not good for them.
