Beverly's pet center, Pembroke pines florida

It would be great if the manager gave a crap and would actually come to the phone. I am trying to find places to report them to, I want to go down there and make a scene but that won't do anything but make snake owners look bad. I will ruin their name if its the last thing I do.

Beverly's pet center, Pembroke pines florida

I just want to warn everyone, this pet store is freezing there dead pinkies from breading cages and selling them as frozen feeders. Our snake just died from eating a rotten pinkie. Normally I would never buy from them but, feeder source was out when I went to repticon and the other stores I...

    Tortoise injured :(

Wow! I'm so sorry this happened, but glad that everything is going well :) mine are diggers as well. Just a bit of advice, I used 4ft rebar hammered into the ground with 6inch spacing so they couldn't dig through the perimeter I gave them. I hope all stays well with your baby!

    rescued baby RES sick?

Just keep checking if there are any loose scutes every day. You can use a soft baby tooth brush and brush the shell before adding vitashell. If you can, put the turtle in a tub outside in the sun so you make sure it gets nice and dried out, be sure to supervise so it doesnt get too hot. The...

    rescued baby RES sick?

Sounds like you are doing everything right, setup wise. It looks like he is just shedding the dry top layer of scutes. Try VERY gently using your finger nail to lift up and peel the scutes away. Shell rot is caused by the old scutes not shedding and water being trapped between them and the new...

RES Pond Basics for So. Cal

I have no experience with a blind turtle but i have found that the food ring works great for my pond! They all learned very quickly where the food is and when I come out they all swim to the ring to eat. On another note, and this is just a thought. Aren't albinos supposed to be housed indoors...

How big will my cooter get?

Its hard to see any growth for the first month or 2 since you see the little one everyday. But believe me you will see growth quickly after that. We got ours at the same size and now a year later he is the size of my hand and eats everything, except for his goldfish friend, in sight! They are...

I don't quarintine, and I've never had an issue either. Im sure others would say this is a huge no no though. I have one female and two males. I think the yellow belly might be a female but still too young to know for sure. My female is the bigest of my RES's and she runs the boys like a boss...

How to regrow lettuce from left over lettuce heads

You know when you go to the store and buy a head of romanie, green leaf, red leaf etc. Well when you cut of the stem (or what ever that part is called) leave it so the heart is still intact. Put it in a dish of water and set it in the sun and watch your lettuce start to regrow! It will even...
