Reddit has actually been really good, lots of members there that are either active here or spend lots of time here. Tom’s care guide is recommended tons over there all the time for new keepers. The upvote system makes it pretty easy to tell who is giving good vs bad advice IMO.

Here is an update on Rocky, he has been living outside full time for about 6 weeks now. He’s sleeping in a heated night box that stays 90%+ humidity, also has a burrow in his outdoor enclosure.
Gaining weight fast and his shell growth has been smooth as ever
Update on my 2 Aldabras, both thriving and putting on ~6-10g per day on average. My smaller Aldabra named Flower is gaining in weight on my bigger one named Clover.
i toured his facility, i saw absolutely 0 mixing of species. Not sure what you mean by doesn’t start them out right, all of his tortoises of all ages have beautiful domed shells and great posture.
Sounds like i need to make arrangements to add a 3rd tortoise whenever i can. Realistically won’t be until at the soonest later this year, but if that’s the best thing for their happiness then I’ll make it happen when i can.
For now they have tons of visual barriers to get away from each...
