I'm considering upgrading my baby Hermann's tortoise to a larger, more spacious enclosure that's translucent. Would the translucency of the enclosure possibly bother my Hermann's tortoise?
I have a 6-month-old Hermann's tortoise and I'm eager to enrich its enclosure with live plants. I'm searching for a plant that not only adds a touch of greenery but also provides safe hiding spots. Could you recommend a suitable option?
I don't know the brand or model but it is some cheap 60w heat lamp from Amazon. I have orderd a new Zoo Med heat lamp so hopeully it should fix the issue
Thank you so much for the help! I have orderd a new heat lamp, repti soil, syphrus mulch, an automatic mister, and a lid. Hopefully I can prevent it from pyramiding even more.
Presently, my 6-month-old baby tortoise is showing signs of pyramiding. She resides in a 40-gallon open-top storage container, but unfortunately, the heat lamp isn't effectively warming her enclosure. Considering this, I'm thinking about relocating her to a closed-top 16-gallon storage container...
