Hello, all, I haven't been on the forum in over a year! Wanted to re-introduce myself. I am Michelle, I have 2 sulcatas and a russian tort. My biggest baby is 2 now, growing at an alarming rate....suprise suprise, right? The little guy is 1 and my russian is 4ish. The site looks great, very...
Ok, all of you who have many torts, or even just a few or only one big guy or gal, share your pics of their outdoor enclosures! I am needing ideas as I am ALWAYS changing, improving and rearranging mine!!:P
I have been following all of Tom's recommendations for a healthy, smooth sully. He just weighed in at 125 grams at 5 months old. Does this sound ok? He was a slow starter at 35 grams when I got him at 5 weeks old, but the last month or so he has taken off. He has always been a healthy eater. I...
Ok, so my 3 month sulcata keeps flipping over on his back. He did this when I first got him 2 months ago, so I am fortunate enough to have a workplace where I bring him to work with me. I have a set up at home, and one at work. :D

So add me if you would like.... Michelle Puzzo Duffy:tort:

Ok, so what should I be looking for to determine the sex of my sully? I know it is way to early to tell as he/she is a hatchling, but I want to know what to be looking for in the future.
Does anyone in or near to Missouri keep a sulcata? I have a hatchling, but am trying to get ideas for when he will be outdoors and if its even possible to keep him outdoors full time in a shed during winter when he is fully grown. Would love to hear ideas or even see your enclosure pics to get...
I have a Russian tort and we just built an outdoor enclosure for him. My question is do I have to put a screened lid or chicken wire over it or is just putting plenty of "hide" areas good? I live in the woods so there are plenty of coons and whatever else out there, so of course I worry about...
I am interested in adopting a sulcata, babies not totally out of the question, but more interested in a 2 or 3 year old. I have 3 acres and live in Missouri south of St. Louis. Any help or direction would be appreciated!
