Hi Joe, Hm, there does sound like he may be wanting to go into hibernation. Leave him sleeping and see how long he will sleep for. If he sleeps for more than a week then yes he will be going into hibernation. Go to the vets if you are very concerned. Hope this helps:)

Well I'm no expert at tortoises but he can last for quite a while on his back but it's not recommended to tip them over. Make sure his cage is safe because maybe he flipped off a toy or the sides. Hope this helps:)
