Thanks everyone. It's been getting into the mid 50's at night, but warns up to the high 70's - mid 80's during the day. I'm glad to know I'm not freezing Leroy.
Welcome! To touch on what jacqui said, one of our members Edna has a wonderful male Eastern Hermanns for sale. I got my first tort from her a few weeks ago and he's great! Here's a link to her thread.

Thanks! I put a flower and a few leaves in for Leroy. He came running over and ate the flower rather quickly. He didn't care for the leaves, but he may eat them later.
I give my tort a warm soak every other day. I normally soak for 20-30 minutes. I really have no clue if that is ok, too long or not long enough? Please advise on how long you let your tort soak.
I have a mix of regular dandelion and catsear growing in my yard. Today I observed my Eastern Hermanns eating some of the leaves. Are they ok for him to eat? I know humans can eat all parts of the plant.
My one dog has it happen quite often actually. His nails are brittle due to medication he takes for seizures. I normally superglue it or cut it off if I can.
