Yup! So far, he hasn't flipped. He's been running around, and I've already walked him, and soaked him twice.

I got my Hermann tortoise today from pets101! He (or she) is so cute! I haven't decided on a name yet. First two pics: first soaking and drying! Last two: habitat! I am going to upgrade the habitat in a couple months to a better one. Please feel free to post anything that I need to do!

I would advise a Hermann tortoise. They're about the same size, have a reputation for being friendly, and a pretty robust. Others that I know of are the Russians, and Greeks. You'll love any tortoise that you get!

Hermit crabs... Ugh. Bad memories of keeping them, and then they died in a few months, and my room smelled horrible for a week. I don't know what happened. It was a long time ago.

I think I would be a Cherry Head Red Foot Tortoise, because I have red hair!

You also might want to make it more interesting, like adding some small hills, or timothy hay to burrow in (if you haven't already).

I read up a bit on it, and apparently being flipped does not harm the tortoise much, unless it is in the sun (or hot lit area). Also, what is the substrate you have? If it's harder, maybe it will be easier for him to flip over. Pictures might help other people figure it out. And by the way, I'm...
