Keith, I would swear it's a desert. She doesn't have big enough scales on her front feet to be a Sulcata. And her back feet don't look Pachyderm enough.
Just my opinion.
God bless this baby. It's time she gets some proper love.
I just lost a 5 year old female. The bloodwork said she had anemia and as I've been studying I have learned that even though I was making sure she had plenty of Dandelion, Hibiscus leaves, clover, and occasional strawberry, squash sprinkled with powdered calcium with LOTS of soaks and sunlight...
Dear Tasha, I recently lost my 5 year old female Sulcata sue to her development of anemia. She was the happiest and most gentle creature in the world and although I know she's in Heaven I can't stop crying. We did everything together. She even slept next to my heart under the down comforter...
I am trying to learn how to upload pictures. This was baby Camelot at about 2 months old. She was sitting on a flip-flop sandal at the lake, Look at her little toes. Isn't she precious?. She's 4 times the size by now. Geez, I sure miss her. :(
Thank you, Carey. The only thing that concerns me is that she never tucks into her shell- she is so trusting of others. I just hope a predator doesn't get her. I may call in a bit or take last year's Halloween costume by for the vet to give his little boy. She was dressed as a Tarantula and...
Jay, I am so sorry for your loss. I'm still in grief over mine and I only had her from hatching, 4 years. I hope you got lots of pictures of her with your family. That's one thing I never did. She was kind of like my soulmate. With love to you, Miggy.
This will sound gross but depending on the size are you able to either pick at it with tweezers or even a set of wire cutters- gently of course. If you could just get a piece or two to break off this might all end very quickly.
Good luck to you.
PS. When it DOES pass, please let it know what...
The latest on Cam is that I have a dear vet friend who took an xray for free ( I have been unemployed and down to my last two bucks for several months now). It was very kind of him and he he emailed the pic to another local vet. The xray shows no blockages of any kind and the new vet put her on...
Yvonne, I'm not upset. I'm simply glad you cared enough to respond.
They're such sweet, gently animals and I have even taught mine a few tricks. In my heart I KNOW that SHE knows I'm trying my best to save her.
Sarah, I got Bogie and Bacall the same time I did Camelot in May of 2010.
There was a really hateful neighbor who threw Bogie in the trash dumpster when I wasn't looking and I was doing yard work with Bacall when I turned around and she was suddenly gone.
That taught me the lesson of keeping a...
I'm so very sorry. I feel I'm going to lose mine any day and it will be hard to get over it. Still, I'm a Christian and pray constantly that God gives me the right intuitions to make baby Camelot well again.
WHY CAN"T THEY HAVE GRAPES?????????? I gave Camelot a bunch of grapes a month ago. Could this have made her sick? They were seedless. Also she won't touch her cuttlebone and hasn't for 4 years.
I'm sorry to bother you again but I just checked on her and she was walking around slowly in the tub, which is more than she has been. She hasn't been moving at all. Is it possible to give her too much Pedyolite? My gut just tells me she is very dehydrated. I've been giving her 1/2 1 syringe...
Thank you so much! I don't know how to take her temperature, do you? And she's been so terribly happy and healthy until now. She has had the run of the house for 4 years but I'm going to keep her in the warm bathroom from now on. Do you think she could have a blockage from that uric acid? She...
4 years ago I purchased Camelot and she has slept with me under the
down comforter every night, curled up around my tummy.
She has always dined on dandelion, clover, hibiscus leaves and rose
petals.
Last week I gave her a strawberry and she started salivating as though
she were in 115 degree...
