My Russian's urine has always been white but this concerned me a little bit. He has been eating very well, little activity, I've been bathing him daily if not every other day. Gets natural sunlight daily. Any suggestions or ideas what might be going on???

I think there are exceptions to any matter affecting having wildlife animals as pets. Tortoise owners (like ourselves) who have an ambition for the species are excluded in that sense. I don't really feel that was the point of the segment at all. Trying to educate people on how rare the species...

Eric Goode is doing amazing work and its so awesome to see someone who has money give back not only for tort/turt benefits but for wildlife in general. It's sad that the Plowshare enterprise goes under the radar as it does especially since its one of the most endangered species on the planet...

It hurt a little mainly just by the wrists but I couldn't be happier!! I'm going up the whole arm with the Polynesian style but I wanted the main focus to be the tortoise.

It stays neart the upper 80s/low 90s ..I have a heating pad underneath there as well so I think that really helps keep the heat in along with the rocks. I only got him a couple months ago and I can tell he's really gotten comfortable with me handling him because he will hiss at my girlfriend. Lol!

I built up some rocks so Rocco could get closer to the "sun" ..I think he likes it!!

What is more important for my Russian Tortoise ..the UVA or UVB? I know they're both essential but just curious which is more to the animal

It's a 50 gallon tank I know it might look kind of small ..how big would you suggest?

Let me know what you guys think. Just got the 100 watt red night bulb but I also have a 150 watt UVA and 100 watt UVB bulb that runs through the day. This is my first tortoise so any suggestions would be appreciated.
