    An argument always carries more weight when it’s backed up with specifics. I agree in not crossing Tortoise breeds, but please give the pitfalls so we can learn something. I do not personally know and I’m seeing more hybrids all the time. Recently saw a Redfoot/Sulcata cross. 🤪

    I would bet a female would be less stressed if she did not have a male chasing her down to mate.

    Much is written about Sulcata egg laying with respect to fequency and clutch size. Does anyone know if Sulcata egg production stops and/or slows down with age ?

    blood on eggs

    My sulcata dropped a clutch of eggs and about a third of them had a little blood on them. It was mostly the eggs she laid first. As she continued the blood seemed to go away. Anybody ever heard/experience this ? Is it cause for concern?
