Just curious. All my sulcatas eat hay - do you stop feeding them all other foods once they eat that? I have been supplementing every other day or third day with greens but I'd like to quit doing that. We have lively patches of dandelions in the spring but no one around here has grass.
Rescuing a tortoise from a pet store is never a good idea - they just go out and buy more. use your communications skills to dissuade the store from selling animals. We bugged our local store so much they stopped selling reptiles. It works! Contact some rescues to adopt another tortoise.
Well whatever you do, make sure they have enough room, they never feed fruit, feed every second or third day, that white in the poop is fine and that when their male flower comes out, don't panic. Buying pig blankets and radiant heat panels from www.beanfarm.com are essential in your climate...
