    Mating Razorback musks

So one of the females climbed out of the pond this evening and sort of paced up and down the side a few times. She's not done this before.. Is there anything I should be looking out for?

    Mating Razorback musks

Thanks for the reply! Will definitely update :) I've read that egg laying season is around April/May time. Is this correct or can it be any time of year?

    Mating Razorback musks

Hello :) I have 4 Razorback turtles,1 male and 3 females. The male is around 4 years old, and the females are around 4, 7 and 7. The male is mating with all 3 females. Should I be expecting eggs soon? Is there any sort of time length between mating and laying? Any advice would be a huge help!

    Introducing new turtles

Hello :) I have two new female razorback musks that I will be introducing to the male and female I already have. The two new ones are currently in a separate tank but I plan on putting them into the indoor pond with the other two. I just have a few questions.. How long should I keep them...

    Sick baby?

Its a 'moonlight bulb'. It does give off some light but it's not very bright. http://www.internetreptile.com/komodo-moonlight-bulb:-es-screw-50w_3439.aspx It's like that. I will have a look for something more suitable over the weekend. Okay, I'll give that a go :)

    Sick baby?

Okay, I really appreciate all the advice. To increase the temperature would I need to put in another heat lamp? Or a higher wattage? I have a night light I can put in to keep the heat up in the night. I'll try that and keep an eye on the night temps to see if I need to increase them more. I will...

    Sick baby?

The basking temperature at the warm end of the enclosure is around 32-34C. The cooler end of the enclosure is around 24C. At night it drops to around 20-24 depending on the temperature of the room. There is a heat mat in one corner of the enclosure which is on all night. I use a 100w arcadia d3...

    Sick baby?

Hi all, I've got 2 leopard tortoises, both around 6 months old. One seems to be growing a lot more than the other. I know they won't all grow at the same rate but it's quite noticable. I weighed them a few days ago and one was 94g and the other 49g. They are both slightly pyramided as they were...

Okay, thank you for the advice :) Should I clip off the end of the nail where it's snapped or leave it be?

    Help! Bleeding claw :(

Hi. I've just soaked my leopard tortoise and I've noticed his claw is sort of snapped and is bleeding. This has never happened before. What do I do? I've posted this on species specific also but thought it might be better here.

    Started the second chamber...

Your set up looks amazing. I'm looking to do something similar for my two leopards, they're nearly 5 months old :) they're currently in a tortoise table but I'm finding it difficult to keep the humidity up. How will you be joining both chambers?

    PLEASE HELP SEX MY HERMANS?!

    Agreed :)

    Please share your enclosures!

I believe it is yes, they don't understand why they can't get through it, which leads to them walking into it constantly. I'd recommend a tortoise table rather than a vivarium :)

Hey. Looking at the tail I would say female but I'm no expert so hopefully someone will come along and confirm it soon :)

    Western or Eastern Hermann tortoise?

Hello :) I was just wondering if anyone could help me identify what kind of Hermann I have. I've always assumed he was an Eastern but he has yellow cheeks, under his eye. I've been told this is a characteristic of the western Hermann. Would be great if some one could help :) Thanks in advance...

My leopard tortoise has white patches between the scutes?

Hello :) I've noticed recently that my leopard tortoise has white patches between the scutes. Could this be the start of pyramiding? I have another who is quite a bit smaller and there's nothing on that shell. They're both 3 months old. I've attached some photos of the patches to try and explain...
