As I currently live in apartment Shelly doesnt often get to walk around on the grass. So, I grew some grass seed in a little tray and within days the grass sprung up! And here is Shelly on her new 'field' of grass and loving every moment! :D

Depends how far the light setting is! I have 75w but I also live in the UK where it is cooler! For the UVB bulb its not measured on wattage! Dont know if this helps!

I thought i would share shellys 1st bathing experiance! If you have any pics of your tort having a bath pls show them to us! :D Shelly in the warm water exploring! Getting her dried off so she can sit under the heat!

I got her from a garden center in Chesterfield, UK, thay also sell other pets (rabbits and mice) and reptiles :( I was told she was about 1.5 years old. :)

well to let the air get in I leave the lid up as its on a hinge so it can stay open! :D

its an old wooden storage box, my boyfriend cut bits and bobs out and we added some plastic runner for the plastic windows :) first attempt and it all went rather well, and Shelly seems happy enough! hehe
