My Russian is like that, too, and his humidity is fine. I think it's normal as far as I know.

Oh good! It was just odd after he hadn't done that for the first few months.

How much sleep is normal for an adult Russian? I'm a new tortoise owner, and he has been sleeping in his hide from about 6pm to about 8am, and then sleeps and/ or basks off and on in other areas throughout the day. Just wondering how much I should expect him to sleep.
