@Carol S Hi Carol, Thanks for your insight I do appreciate it. The plant behind his hide is super flimsy and is atop and away from the corner and tested escape a crawl attempts, so efforts to escape are futile. :)

What are the temps/humidity both environments were at? @Ashley99 Sometimes that has a HUGE part in where they are most comfortable. What does your tortoise do in the viv? Does he spend most of the time by the glass or away from it? When he is by it, does he claw, scratch, or bump into it? Pacing?

@Ashley99 I used to. Apparently they are bad for tortoises. Tortoises do not understand glass and will stress themselves out over trying to get out, or by seeing their reflections in them. Also, half the time the tanks you get in stores are not big enough for them once they get bigger. So now...

@Ashley99 Around 2 months. He was hatched in June.

@Yellow Turtle01 Haha yes mine are fake. The only one that is real is the jade plant that is close to the dirty water bowl....Russian torts and their untidy water soaking abilities..Mine has attempted to eat the colorful looking flowers but soon realized that it was a no-go cause plastic is...

Yes!! I felt the same when I got my russian tortoise. I felt that I needed to know certain things that didn't even turn out to be useful or even the right information cause of how outdated it was. Now that I have owned my tort for awhile I realized I was stressing over the little silly things...
