Weather is undecided what season it wants to be. Been really cold then really hot on the same week.

Is it possible to tell the age of my tortoise? Can he be kept outside all the time or should he brought in when it rains or at night?

I live in an urban area so it's definitely not wild. Releasing it would probably mean it being run over by a car or worse someone else taking it in and possibly abusing it. We have checked with neighbours also and no owners yet. Will posting more pics help identification.?
