Can anyone tell me what these bugs are & how to get rid of them?

I'm guessing they were springtails by the way they acted & jumped but they did not look like any springtail images on the Web. I dumped the entire cage, disinfected everything, replaced any wooden items with plastic or ceramic, new dirt no cypress mulch & replaced real plants with terrarium...

Can anyone tell me what these bugs are & how to get rid of them?

the picture of the toilet is from Greta's water dish I dumped in there. They are only in her cage at the moment. From the description on the link you sent they do have springtail qualities (small, bouncy & how quickly they've become a problem) except their appearance. Her water dish is...

I don't know what those are. If they're spingtails how do I get rid of them & where did they come from?

Not really, they are so tiny. They bounce off the walls. Disgusting, worried about Greta.

Can anyone tell me what these bugs are & how to get rid of them?

They started off in her water dish about a month ago. Now I'm changing her water every couple of hours. There is a huge population bouncing off one wall in her cage. I have food grade DE, is it safe? Greta is a Hermanns tort about 3 months old. I dump her water in the toilet then bleach the...

tiny white bugs in Greta's water dish

I don't see them anywhere else in her enclosure except her water dish. I've been changing her water every few hours. Every time I come back there is a skim of these bugs on top of her water. They're really gross & worried she will ingest them. Anyone know what they are & if they'll hurt her?

    no poops yet

Yes she pees. The pee comes out with a little white plumbers tape looking thing (i looked that up & that's normal) but no poo. Poo eating can't be good.

    no poops yet

I've had my hermann's hatchling Greta for 9 days. I soak her every other day, feed her mazuri with some kale everyday. I have not seen any poops. I've seen her pee during her soaks but no poo. Should I be concerned? I grew the clover & vetch before she arrived, she's has dug most of it up...

    New Owner Show-and-Tell!

Greta 4 1/2 weeks old. Am I supposed to be feeding her daily? Some people say yes some say it will cause rapid growth & pyramiding. She has vetch & red clover growing in her cage she can graze when she wants. I'm wondering about the mazuri food.

Thanks for the pics. I was considering the zoo med tortoise house but changed my mind & bought a 54 gallon rubbermaid container. 41×22×18. It has a lid so I can keep the humidity up at night. $75 less than the zoo med. I also bought a bunch of plant saucers for food & water. I'll make a...

Wow that's a long time. Sounds like they had a great life. Rexford had been slowing down this fall but I thought that was normal. She had just had a soak, drank some water then I put her under the emitter. When I came back an hour or so later she was gone. I couldn't believe it. I had to...
