    Frantic little guy

Here is the interior. It's a little messy since it's toward the end of the day. He spills his entire water dish into the substrate every day, so I promise I give him water! :P I give him space behind the log because he paces around in circles and if I put it against the wall he tries to climb...

    Frantic little guy

Only the basking spot is that hot. The whole enclosure is usually in the high 80's. If I take him out and let him wander around my room that calms him down a little. He paces back and forth all day in his enclosure anyway, so it seems like he would be getting enough exercise. I will post pics in...

    Frantic little guy

Hey guys! I have a Greek Tortoise named Carl and he has been acting pretty strange lately. While I know it is normal for tortoises to claw at the sides of the enclosures, he does it from sun up to sun down. It's very loud for my sake, and he seems kind of frantic. I haven't changed anything...

    Planter boxes

Hi guys! So, I'm planting an I door storage garden for my little guy and I could use some advice for the set up. He's a greek, so he is smaller. I need a planter box that is short enough on the sides to allow him to graze on it when he wants to. Is there any recommendations you guys have? I was...

    Worried about Carl

I have been away on a camping trip for several days and returned home to my poor little guy not looking his best. I don't know what's wrong with him. He has been eating, but no poops until today that I can see. I haven't seen him drinking water, but his water bowl is always filled with...

    Posing

Didn't draw feet or nails on most of the legs showing because he doesn't have them on those 2 legs. Now he has his own little tort caricature!

    Posing

Thought maybe some of you would be interested in this. He was holding still long enough while he was eating that I actually got to finish the drawing this time! Got a little frantic toward the end, but it's all the time I had. Enjoy :-)

    Time to explore

Thank you! I wish it was as easy for my little guy to get up there, but it keeps him entertained :)

You know you have a tortoise when...

..when you go for a "short walk" and it ends up taking several hours due to doing your neighborly duty of clearing out nearly every weed within a mile of your house...

    Time to explore

Carl spends roughly 20 minutes climbing up here with his missing foot. Then, after about 30 seconds, he climbs right back down. This happens about 3 times a day. He always comes over to me when he's done like "Mom, did you see what I did?!?!" :D

    What is he/she???

Unfortunately, he is being fostered and will most likely be adopted by other people. But I know the shelter ' s director where that little guy was, and they would give it a good home. I am sad it couldn't be with me, though :-(

Thanks, I'll be sure to get a separate enclosure when I decide to add a new addition. I appreciate the info :-)
