Looks great! I just have a couple questions, as I'm in the process of building one myself.
First, the track is a great idea. I had no idea it was so cheap. But what about the sides? Do they just butt up to the wood(or whatever you used), or is there another piece for the sides to seal well...
If I use some dirt from around this ranch going to be sufficient mixed with coconut coir? We have plenty of unfertalized untouched ground. I've just never really seen much about using local dirt.
Not sure what your plans or budget are. But in the enclosure I am building right now, I plan to line the inside with pvc board (if I can find it near me), or a similar shower wall paneling (I can't remember the name but it's a textured, waterproof, scratch resistant material I found at menards)...
So I am building a new enclosure for my redfoots, and it's going to be pretty big. That said, I am wondering if earthworms would be possible to put in their soil.

I'm so glad I found this. I've been finding this same issue in my enclosure! I wasn't sure if it was the coconut or the moss, but this answers that. What brand is it? And please let me know if you find out what they are, I'm really curious.
That's actually 2 different torts, Tom. I got them from Vicky at the tortoise yard. I'm glad you like them!
And thank you Christina, I never heard of using eggs with the shells.
Hey everyone,
So I was just wondering if it's normal for my redfoots to not touch their cuddle bone. They're on a pretty standard leafy diet, with fruit and protein throughout the week. I started using calcium powder since they never eat the cuddle bone. But was just wondering if I need to be...
Hi,
My girlfriend and I have been looking at the forums since before we even got our baby redfoots, and decided we might as well join.
Meet Douglas and Shiloh! They're roughly 2 and 3 months old respectively, and probably the best investment I have made.
