Well from what I read online it's from the Asteraceae family http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asteraceae and if you look in the "uses" part most of the plants in that family are herbs o vegetables so I would be inclined to think it's edible, not sure though. Hope it works.

yep, it's a chaco... it's nearly impossible to get a sulcata in argentina.

For a tortoise that size you should plan some kind of shelter, i used to live in houston and temps go to the low 20's in winter, for several weeks at a time..
