My juvenile Eastern Box turtle, named Tina, who I have noticed has developed a swollen ear and I am very concerned about who I can treat it and what it actually is. I have attached pictures thank you so much for your help!
would it be a good idea to cross breed a three-toed box turtle and an ornate box turtle to produce a hybrid of the species because I would think it would be beautiful but are there any risks that I should be aware of so that I don't do anything bad for them both?
The eye was freshly cut and has since scabbed over and I am afraid is going to lose it he does have some bite marks on the back of his shell (most likely a raccoon) but missing arm is healed and scarred over although it has bone jutting out
I know that this is about turtles not tortoises but this is very urgent to me. I found a Southeastern musk turtle flipped over on its back 5 days ago now this seemed a little odd since he was in about 3 inches of water but then I noticed he was struggling to flip back over because he is missing...
How are tortoises selectively bred as albinos I have looked everywhere and I just can't seem to find anything about it anywhere I know that a pair of "hypos" are but I don't even know what those are. Sorry if I seem uneducated I'm kinda new to tortoise breeding.
I read a lot of positive reviews I haven't heard anything Bad about him thank you so much for suggesting him he has great prices and I am excited to buy from him!
That's a beautiful tortoise he looks very well fed. I think once my tortoise hits 7 inches then I will put him in the enclosure so about in a couple months!
I have been told that box turtles are a kind of misnamed North American tortoise but I am not 100% on that since I have seen some people call them a kind of turtle. Sorry to put something not completely about tortoises up but this has been nagging at me for months.
