Thanks! He doesn't seem to have any problem with getting around. He's full speed when he can see me coming with some prickly pear pads! That's what his leg looks like. I'll have to post a video of him...when I figure out how!

Hi everyone! My husband and I just adopted our first tortoise!! Jordie (Jordie the Tortie) is a Sonoran Desert Tortoise which we adopted from Arizona Game and Fish. He is missing one of his back legs, and we were told he is about 20-30 years old. I'm very excited to have found this community...

My husband and I adopted one after seeing this news story! We asked for one who would be less likely to be adopted - and so we got Jordie. (Jordie the Tortie) :D He is missing a back leg and is about 20-30 years old. He's our first tortoise - I am so in love!!!:<3: :tort::<3:
